Part of the Quilt Tales: Stories Through Fabric temporary exhibit

Quilt Trails

10/07/22–01/14/23

During the run of our temporary exhibit, Quilt Tales: Stories Through Fabric, we created a Quilt Trail throughout Hancock County. This interactive outdoor activity was inspired by the many barn quilt trails throughout the U.S.

We created 12 “barn quilts”, painted on small squares of wood, and stationed them at various points throughout Hancock County. Participants who visited every site and took a picture of/with each barn quilt could post the pictures on Instagram, using #QuiltTrailWGZM, or show their collected pictures to a WGZM staff member when they came back to the museum upon completion to be entered into a special prize drawing!

A very special congratulations to Susan Mary Reynolds who won our Quilt Trails grand prize!
Thank you to everyone who participated!
